We had a fantastic back to our roots lunch club with The los ridos crew with Mahesh & Rafa!
The original lunch club was founded and created around 7 years ago by Lisa & Wayne Ward and the first lunch club which call monday club back then but we had to change the name which is a long story! Started in the los ridos which was Owned by Mahash & Rafa and they made us our very first Sri Lanken dish which was absolutely of the scale and was the seed for the weekly meetings!!! The lunch club is international now and we have a website with thousands of viewers and hits! Our club has been copied by many but nobody can compete!
We fully enjoyed the afternoon and food with its delightful! We started the day in siete tablas around 4pm
We headed over to New Irish Jims a stone throw away for 5pm and we had a few drinks outside with the crew me and lisa had a think about the weather and we made the decision we would eat inside so kev prepped our VIP table up!
The wine came flowing out and it was very refreshing
i could feel the weather might slightly break for a small shower and it did just as our food was ready to be served! Fantastic timing!!! So out came the sri lanken delights!!
All famous sri lankan black pork curry, fried eggplant curry, red Dahl curry cooked in coconut milk and ofcourse the fresh coconut sambol with tempered vegetable basmati rice and papadom. Hot green chili chutney on the side.
The Sri Lanken Cuisine is fantastic and people who had not has this food before was god smacked and said it was fantastic! So we run again next month!
We decided to head for last man standing to guinns central we get star treatment from Guinns crew!!!
We had some fantastic craft ales and great laugh to finish up with the crew!! The crew split and the hardcore last man standing headed up to kevs, new irish jims for more drinks and shots… !
And then back up to siete tablas for more shots!!!!
Absolutely off the scale its great to be back with the original crew!!! The day was smooth with no hiccups this is what the lunch club is designed for!!
