On our new quest to try stay local we decided to return to one of the best restaurants in torremolinos in which i was told a niche part of torremolinos! Which is correct its a very traditional part of torremolinos busting with the real traditional tapas bars and restaurants and a real feel of spain! So we started in plaza independencia
we was starting in 20 canas but it was busy so we just went next door! Bit slow on the drink delivery but well priced and we go right in the sun ☀️ we had a great laugh with some nice drink and set off just before 2.30pm for a stone throw away to the gradual slope up to El Calvario.
Our table was set and out came the menus and the wine.
The wine is very good and well priced! We had a variation of different meals from the menu and everyone was more than happy! We went for a lovely gambas pil pil and a steak on the stone which was fabulous!
The pepper sauce was outstanding! When we indicated numbers as they was high antonio indicated that we would split the bill which happens once in a blue moon so we took paper and pens for everyone to pay there order! Someone took us for 5 euro so a few of us clubbed in a euro to pay there bills! Bit naughty but hey ho! Antonio and the team handled the crew with speed and professionalism! Thank you to the lanjaron crew!
A few of us had sweets and we paid up and headed a tad more up the gradual slope towards El Calvario and to a slip through where the lunch club first began at los ridos and we showed the crew one of the oldest original streets of torremolinos before heading down in to see kev at new irish jims.
We took some more well priced beers and had a good laugh in the sun ☀️
A day in El Calvario is always fantastic! If you havent taken a tour make sure you take half a day to explore this fantastic traditional village of Torremolinos, you wont be disappointed!!
Thank you to the lunch club its all going very seamlessly good, the crew has really come together over the past few weeks making important decisions and having supportive conversations! Its good that we all think and stand at the same level shows our strengths as a group! We have some fantastic days to look forward to over the next couple of months including new local venues, a day for dave and wine tasting events to name a few!!
