Wow what a fantastic day! Although a lot of work as the restaurant said it would be better for people count over ten to pre order which mainly was a breeze thank you to the kind people who ‘did ad there told!?!’ Anyway we was starting mulligans irish tavern which i never made plan B as it’s always open!!! Nope! It was closed and mary reminded us it was closed the same time once on a lunch club day so we will plan B this one in future!!!! So we simply switched to the cafe next door
Carambuco had the seating capacity and people started flowing in around 1.20pm and majority got wine at 3.50 a glass not bad price for the measure!
We did pick up on the very expensive price of the little bottle of cider here at 5.50 and mentioned it to the serving lady who simply was not interested in the least so be careful not just expensive prices here but very bad service with no consideration.
So we moved onto our booked table at El Bodegon for 2.30pm which was set out fantastic.
And the menus started flowing out for wine and the table got marked into families for the split bill!! We are on a winner!! Out come the wine and one of my favourite spanish red wines at the right price.
The starters didnt take long to come out due to lisa ms fantastic work with the pre order i dont know how she has the patience!!! The staff carried out the task smoothly delivering the starters to the right destination with out any help from the crew which is great! Everyone was knocked out with the starters ive had most of them as ive been a few times! And went for one of my favourite soups, the minestrone.
And was also very uptaking on finishing lisas last bit of tomatoe soup!
All the starters where divine and i had one of phils mussel’s which wasnt to shabby at all! They swiftly removed all the old cutlery and the starters didnt take long to start appearing! I went at the steak medium rare with the pepper sauce and it was cooked to perfection and the pepper sauce it real good and plenty of it!!
The food was absolutely bang on and service cant be beat! We swiftly moved on to the third and final part of the meal and i got ice cream.. in fact lisa was full so i got two!! Shhh!
We had no complaints and the whole eating experience was seamless so we thanked the staff who all lovely people and moved onto vanilla for the lunch club last tipple and last laughs! Nice to see returning friendly characters lunch club members!
The group split and a few headed of to New Irish Jims for last man standing.. and siete tablas of course!!!!
Absolutely seamless day its worth the extra work of pre ordering so thank you to the people this isnt a problem to!!
