Back to our roots with the los ridos crew and our own personal sri lanken chefs at new Irish Jims in El calvario, Torremolinos.
We had a start bar for around 1pm at small Italian bar we use but the the Weather was had and we had a idea that people would more than likely just go staight there! I dont blame them it was harsh!! Any how we soldiered it out and got there just after 1pm and one person turned up to join so we cut the time from 2.30pm to 2pm which was a great idea as people had turned up and we could start earlier on the Sri lanknen delights!
We had 12 lunch crew and 10 new people join from new Irish Jims so it was pretty cosy! We had two people pull out for to early as this is not like turning up to a Restaraunt as normal this is pre ordered so we figured this out with the los ruidos crew which isnt nice so now!!.. we have a list for people who do this and they in the future would pay pre pay for events like this as its not fair on the lunch club and the Restaraunt to have to figure out the payment! Any what out came the drinks fast as all the tables was setup perfect! i had a cheeky craft ale before we tackled a bottle of red.
It really didnt take the los ridos crew to start producing the main courses lukily we we said dont wait for the people who never turned up! The food was full of Sri lanken flavours and accomplied with a extra not sauce for the people who want it spicy hot!
The food was absolutley off the scale as always thank you los ridos crew
Also have to say a Lovely clean sailing day with lovely people and great service and split bills and all the bells and whistles! Great to see some returning faces coming to join in our Weekly fun!
Thank you Kev and Ed for making the day run smooth and the los ridos for creating the 12 out of 10 food you always have provided we look forward to next month with the famous nasi goreng.
We have almost reached nine years now and we are very popular and we sometimes get copied! Remember dont get mixed up we are the original Torremolinos Lunch Club if you by mistake get loored into another club please dont let this have reflection on us the Torremolinos lunch club – The real deal.
We didnt take off we just hung in new Irish Jims which was fun! Thank you everyone who came out and bravee this horrible day but im sure you will agree it was fantastic!
